Summertime Freedom

After being fully vaccinated, I feel safe enough to venture out into the world, beyond essential errands. I went to Berkeley to go to Oak Barrel Winecraft, eat at Saul’s Restaurant & Delicatessen and photograph the Berkeley Rose Garden. I never made it to the Rose Garden, because on the way into town, I was stopped in my tracks by these cool abandoned houses.

The following weekend, I was able to have dinner with friends I hadn’t seen in over a year. It was so awesome to be able to hug, visit and bread bread together without masks, as we are all vaccinated. Their garden in the Oakland hills is gorgeous and always a source of inspiration.

Wherever your summer adventures take you, I hope you have fun and stay safe!
